Assistant Project Manager

Job Summary

Support project delivery by coordinating documentation, procurement, quality tracking, safety logistics, and closeout activities for The Christman Company. The position is primarily based at the construction site and may require extended hours or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Organize project records, support closeout and billing, and document project and subcontractor meetings.
• Help track punch-list work, inspections, procurement, materials, and approved drawing changes.
• Monitor work quality, maintain progress and quality photos, and assist with superintendent reports.
• Support site safety communication and initiatives, and model safe work practices.
• Coach newly hired project engineers or assistant project managers when assigned.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field and at least three years of construction industry experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organization, planning, and collaboration skills.
• Basic working knowledge of Microsoft 365, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Travel

Travel to construction sites is required. Most travel is local, though some long-distance and overnight travel may be needed depending on the project.
