Assistant Project Manager

Job Summary

Support HVAC construction project delivery by helping manage documentation, coordination, safety, schedule, budget, and communication throughout project phases.

Project Details

Harris works on projects including stadiums, manufacturing facilities, power plants, hospitals, concert venues, and schools.

Responsibilities

• Organize and distribute contract documents, submittals, and project records; track RFIs and responses.
• Attend field coordination meetings, share notes, and maintain progress and as-built drawings.
• Support quality control, project closeout, scope-change tracking, equipment procurement, and rental tracking.
• Conduct site walkthroughs, help maintain safety compliance, and support project estimating.
• Work with project managers and foremen to track labor productivity and job costs.

Required Experience

• Two or more years of building or construction industry knowledge or experience.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems and ability to interpret construction documents.
• A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, construction, or a related field is preferred.
• Knowledge of design tools and principles, business administration, and management; strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Compensation and Benefits

Annual pay range is $62,549.35-$93,824.03. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and life insurance; a 401(k) with company match; vacation, sick time, paid holidays, paid parental leave, and a Short-Term Incentive Plan.
