Project Manager I - Traveling

Job Summary

Harris is hiring a traveling Project Manager I to support HVAC construction projects through planning, execution, and closeout, coordinating safety, scope, schedule, cost, and client communications.

Project Details

Harris works on projects including stadiums, manufacturing facilities, power plants, hospitals, concert halls, and classrooms.

Responsibilities

• Support site safety compliance through inspections, safety plans, audits, toolbox talks, and pre-task planning.
• Manage project documents, RFIs, submittals, quality records, as-builts, and closeout materials.
• Identify and negotiate change orders; coordinate schedules, work plans, staffing, equipment procurement, and rentals.
• Prepare estimates, track labor productivity and project financials, coordinate billing and collections, and participate in project reviews.
• Build relationships with owners and general contractors, and support sales and account goals.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management preferred.
• At least 3 years of building and construction industry experience, mechanical systems knowledge, and ability to read construction documents.
• At least 3 years of understanding of business administration, management principles, and design techniques, tools, and principles.
• At least 5 years of Microsoft Office experience.

Compensation and Benefits

Annual pay range of $62,549.35 to $146,600.05, with the offer based on candidate qualifications, experience, and location. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and life insurance; 401(k) with company match; vacation, sick time, and paid holidays; paid parental leave; and a Short-Term Incentive Plan.
