Assistant Project Manager for Job Order Contracting

WDF Inc., a Tutor Perini company, is hiring an Assistant Project Manager to support JOC work from its Mount Vernon office. The role coordinates project delivery, commercial administration, and communication with clients and project teams.

Responsibilities

• Review bid packages, subcontractor proposals, changes, and owner change requests.
• Track procurement, long-lead materials, RFIs, submittals, schedules, and project costs.
• Coordinate with the on-site Superintendent, Project Engineers, clients, design teams, and regional leaders to keep work on schedule and within budget.
• Support contract negotiations, project meetings, labor strategy, progress payments, cash-flow projections, and financial controls.
• Monitor jobsite safety and address deficiencies.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• At least five years of commercial construction experience on projects exceeding $50 million; JOC experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of construction cost, scheduling, estimating, procurement, engineering, and accounting principles.
• Experience with Primavera P6 and Procore is preferred; intermediate Prolog skills and advanced Microsoft Office skills are expected.
• Ability to interpret contracts, drawings, specifications, scopes, and schedules; leadership and communication skills are required.
• BIM implementation experience is needed; CAD 2000 or 3-D CAD knowledge is desired.

Compensation and Benefits

The stated salary range is $83,000 to $120,000, depending on experience.
