Assistant Project Manager - Mechanical Construction

Job Summary

Support HVAC construction project delivery by helping maintain project standards, budgets, schedules, communications, and safety practices.

Project Details

Harris works on projects across a range of sectors, including stadiums, manufacturing facilities, power plants, hospitals, concert halls, and schools.

Responsibilities

• Organize project documents, track RFIs and submittals, record meeting notes, and maintain progress, as-built, and closeout documentation.
• Help monitor scope changes, equipment procurement, and tool and equipment rentals.
• Conduct site walkthroughs and inspections, and support site safety compliance.
• Coordinate with suppliers on estimates and use estimating software for basic estimating tasks.
• Work with project managers and field foremen to track labor productivity in accounting software.

Required Experience

• Two or more years of building or construction industry knowledge or experience.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems and ability to read construction documents.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work in a team.
• A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, construction, or a related field is preferred.
• Knowledge of design tools and principles, and business administration and management principles.

Compensation and Benefits

Annual pay range of $65,392.51-$98,088.76, with the offer based on candidate qualifications and location. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and life insurance; a 401(k) with company match; paid time off and holidays; paid parental leave; and a Short-Term Incentive Plan.
