Assistant Project Manager - Mechanical Construction

Job Summary

Harris is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support HVAC construction projects through planning, execution, and closeout. The role helps maintain project budgets, schedules, communication, and site safety.

Project Details

Harris delivers mechanical construction work for facilities such as stadiums, manufacturing plants, power plants, hospitals, concert halls, and schools.

Responsibilities

• Organize and distribute project documents, track RFIs and submittals, record meeting notes, and help maintain quality and closeout records.
• Track scope changes, equipment purchasing, deliveries, and tool and equipment rentals.
• Conduct site walkthroughs and support safety plans, audits, toolbox talks, and pre-task planning.
• Assist with estimating, bid and turnover meetings, proposals, and labor productivity tracking.

Required Experience

• At least two years of building or construction industry knowledge or experience.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems and ability to read construction documents.
• A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills and eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Compensation and Benefits

Annual pay range of $54,019.90-$81,029.85. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and life insurance; a 401(k) with company match; vacation, sick time, and paid holidays; paid parental leave; and a Short-Term Incentive Plan.
