MEP Superintendent

Job Summary

Adolfson & Peterson Construction seeks an MEP Superintendent to direct field operations and coordinate project teams, trade contractors, owners, and design professionals on projects generally under $75 million or on designated portions of larger projects.

Project Details

Projects are generally valued below $75 million, with occasional assignments covering defined portions of larger, complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Direct site activities, trade coordination, schedules, budgets, productivity, quality, and project reporting.
• Maintain a safe jobsite by implementing project safety plans, leading safety meetings, addressing hazards, and reporting incidents.
• Coordinate tools, materials, inspections, project drawings, and closeout activities.
• Build effective working relationships with owners, design teams, subcontractors, and internal departments.
• Contribute to preconstruction planning, constructability reviews, scheduling, estimating, and project proposals.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or a related field plus 6+ years of directly related experience, or a high school diploma or equivalent plus 10+ years.
• Proficiency with construction management software such as Procore, P6, MS Project, Excel, and AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of building plans and specifications, value engineering, and life-cycle costing; demonstrated safety leadership and compliance experience.
• Current OSHA 30 certification or ability to obtain it, along with company safety requirements.
• Forklift certification is preferred.
• Ability to travel to project sites and accept long-term out-of-town assignments; role involves physical field work and variable climate conditions.

Compensation and Benefits

Estimated pay is $87,000-$140,000. Benefits include medical, dental, vision and life insurance, HSA, 401(k), flexible spending accounts, paid time off, holidays, tuition assistance, and an employee referral bonus.
