Project Engineer - Heavy Industrial/Mining

Job Summary

Sundt is seeking a Project Engineer II to provide technical project support on heavy industrial and mining construction work. The role calls for at least three years of relevant experience and a construction-related degree or equivalent preparation.

Project Details

The position requires experience on heavy industrial, power, or mining projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate procurement schedules, materials, equipment, and submittals against project requirements.
• Support project budgets, cost controls, change orders, quantity tracking, and claims prevention.
• Maintain as-built records, project logs, meeting notes, and closeout documents.
• Assist with project team development and supervise or train Field Engineers when needed.

Required Experience

• Four-year construction-related degree, or equivalent technical training and related experience.
• Three to four years of similar construction engineering experience, including at least three years on heavy industrial, power, or mining projects.
• Strong construction engineering knowledge, communication skills, and ability to coordinate a multidisciplinary team.
