Project Manager

Job Summary

Adolfson & Peterson Construction is hiring an experienced Project Manager for an onsite role near Fargo, North Dakota. The position leads project delivery in partnership with the Superintendent.

Project Details

Projects may reach $15 million, or the role may manage designated scopes within a larger, complex project. AP serves commercial, education, healthcare, hospitality, industrial, multifamily, municipal, data center, and senior living markets.

Responsibilities

• Oversee project safety, budget, contracts, schedule, quality, and coordination with trade contractors and suppliers.
• Manage project start-up, procurement, submittals, changes, cost tracking, cash flow, payment applications, and closeout.
• Coordinate with the Superintendent, owners, design teams, subcontractors, and suppliers; lead progress and project review meetings.
• Assess constructability, risk, bids, scopes, and contract requirements, and support preconstruction work.
• Maintain project records, cost forecasts, schedules, and quality controls while promoting safe work practices.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field and 6+ years managing construction projects over $5 million; or an associate’s degree in construction management and 8+ years of relevant project management experience.
• Proficiency with scheduling, spreadsheets, cost control, and project management software. Prolog, Microsoft Project, P6, Procore, and Bluebeam are noted as pluses.
• Understanding of value engineering, life-cycle costing, project financial processes, construction quality, and CMR and Design-Build delivery methods.
• Current OSHA 30 certification or ability to obtain it, and ability to meet company safety requirements.
• Ability to travel and work in varying, sometimes extreme, climate conditions.

Compensation and Benefits

Estimated pay is $89,600–$143,000. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and life insurance; HSA and flexible spending accounts; 401(k); paid time off and holidays; tuition assistance; and an employee referral bonus.
