Project Manager - Construction

Job Summary

Mortenson is hiring a construction Project Manager to guide project delivery, support team development, and maintain strong customer relationships. Opportunities are available at Project Manager 1 and 2 levels.

Project Details

Mortenson works across markets including sports, renewable energy, data centers, and healthcare. Project Manager 2 candidates must have experience with projects valued at $20 million or more.

Responsibilities

• Manage project finances, forecasts, cost codes, invoices, owner billings, contracts, and change orders.
• Select and oversee trade partners and suppliers while monitoring project budgets.
• Lead and develop Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers, assign work, review performance, and approve timecards.
• Serve as the primary contact for owners and site representatives, address concerns, and support agreement reviews.
• Maintain project schedule and budget while overseeing quality, risk, safety, and compliance.

Required Experience

• Construction, Civil or Architectural Engineering, or Construction Management degree, or equivalent experience.
• Current driver's license and ability to travel up to 100%.
• Project Manager 1: At least six years of construction management or related experience.
• Project Manager 2: At least seven years of construction management or related experience, including large projects valued at $20 million or more.
• Ability to manage complex projects and multiple tasks, with knowledge of construction law, business practices, and intermediate Microsoft Office and project application skills.

Compensation and Benefits

Base pay ranges are $113,500–$170,300 for Project Manager 1 and $132,100–$198,200 for Project Manager 2, with actual compensation based on experience, skills, and location. The role is eligible for an incentive plan.
