Project Manager I

Job Summary

Ryan Companies is hiring a Project Manager I for its Midwest team, based onsite in Des Moines or Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The role oversees planning and delivery of commercial construction projects.

Project Details

Projects may include commercial work, with healthcare experience preferred, as well as light industrial office and warehouse, retail, and strip mall projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage project schedules, budgets, cost forecasts, contracts, bid documents, and status reporting.
• Lead construction progress meetings and support jobsite coordination.
• Oversee design development and negotiate and award subcontracts.
• Coordinate with owners, field teams, subcontractors, and internal partners.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering or Construction Management.
• At least four years of commercial construction experience; healthcare experience is preferred.
• Ability to travel for projects as needed.
• Estimating or preconstruction and field experience, and experience managing light industrial or retail projects, are advantageous.
