Project Manager II

Job Summary

Adolfson & Peterson Construction is hiring a Project Manager II to oversee project delivery near Alexandria, Louisiana, in partnership with the Superintendent and project team.

Project Details

The role is assigned to a data center project. Project scopes are typically up to $50 million, with occasional responsibility for a defined portion of a larger complex project.

Responsibilities

• Manage project safety, budgets, contracts, schedules, quality, and coordination with trade contractors and suppliers.
• Lead project planning, buyout, cost tracking, cash flow, pay applications, and project closeout.
• Coordinate with owners, designers, subcontractors, and the Superintendent; lead project meetings and maintain project records.
• Review constructability, project risks, bids, contracts, submittals, changes, and quality plans.
• Supervise, coach, and support assigned Project or Field Engineers and Assistant Project Managers.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or a related field and 7+ years managing projects over $5 million, or an associate degree in construction management and 9+ years of related project management experience.
• Alternatively, experience as a Project Manager under a Senior Project Manager on projects valued at $40-$50 million.
• Proficiency with scheduling, spreadsheets, cost control, and project management software; Prolog, Microsoft Project, and P6 are a plus.
• Knowledge of value engineering, life-cycle costing, project financial processes, AIA contracts, and CMR and Design-Build delivery methods.
• Current OSHA 30 certification or ability to obtain it, and ability to travel and work in varied climate conditions.

Compensation and Benefits

Estimated salary of $104,000-$172,000. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and life insurance; HSA and flexible spending accounts; 401(k); paid time off and holidays; tuition assistance; and an employee referral bonus.
