Project Manager II

Job Summary

Ryan Companies is seeking a Project Manager II for its Midwest team, based onsite in Des Moines or Cedar Rapids. The role manages commercial construction projects from planning through execution.

Project Details

Manage commercial projects valued between $1 million and $75 million. Preferred project experience includes mission critical, industrial, healthcare, retail, office, senior living, and multifamily work.

Responsibilities

• Manage schedules, cost forecasts, contracts, budgets, profit projections, and bid documents.
• Lead construction progress meetings and support jobsite coordination and status reporting.
• Oversee design development and negotiate and award subcontracts.
• Coordinate with owners, field teams, subcontractors, and internal partners.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction engineering or management, or a related field.
• At least six years of commercial construction or design-build project management experience.
• Advanced knowledge of estimating, cost control, and material pricing.
• Experience with Microsoft Project and other project management tools; Procore and Microsoft Office knowledge are preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with superintendents, subcontractors, and owner-clients.
• Ability to travel for projects when needed.
