Project Manager - Job Order Contracting

Job Summary

WDF Inc., a Tutor Perini company, is hiring a Project Manager to oversee Job Order Contracting work from its Mount Vernon office. The role manages project delivery, financial performance, client relationships, and coordination with site leadership.

Project Details

WDF is a New York metropolitan-area specialty mechanical contractor serving public and private clients, with self-performed HVAC, plumbing, sprinkler, and general construction capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and track project budgets, costs, forecasts, and financial reporting.
• Coordinate procurement of materials, equipment, and labor to support project execution.
• Negotiate scope changes, pursue additional client work, and manage change processes.
• Work with on-site Superintendents to maintain schedule, budget, productivity, and quality of construction.
• Build working relationships with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies.
• Represent the company at project and labor-strategy meetings and manage contract financial matters.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, plus 10 or more years of building construction experience.
• At least five years of Project Management experience overseeing multiple construction projects.
• Experience with Job Order Contracting, unit pricing, and requirement pricing.
• Knowledge of construction cost, scheduling, estimating, purchasing, engineering, and accounting principles.
• Ability to interpret contracts, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and schedules.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with Procure, Bluebeam, Primavera, or estimating software.
• Strong leadership, written, and verbal communication skills.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range is $96,000 to $184,000, depending on experience.
