Project Manager - Mission Critical Plus/Day 2

Job Summary

The Weitz Company is seeking a Project Manager to lead construction work in active, mission-critical facilities while coordinating project teams, clients, and operational stakeholders.

Project Details

The role supports work in live mission-critical environments, including data centers, where safety, system reliability, and uninterrupted operations are key considerations. Related experience in industrial, healthcare, or other operational facilities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, financial forecasts, and project documentation.
• Coordinate work phasing, outage planning, construction activities, subcontractors, materials, and equipment deliveries.
• Lead preconstruction, constructability reviews, procurement, subcontract negotiations, and change management.
• Direct project meetings, maintain stakeholder relationships, mentor team members, and oversee closeout.
• Apply project tools, virtual design coordination, Lean practices, and value engineering to support project outcomes.

Required Experience

• At least five years of construction project management experience.
• Successful team leadership and experience developing and mentoring others.
• Mission-critical, data center, industrial, healthcare, or other operational-facility experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Apple products, and project systems such as JDE, Procore, Bluebeam, or Asta is preferred.
