Quality Field Engineer

Job Summary

Ryan Companies is hiring a Quality Field Engineer for its national Mission Critical team. The role supports project leaders and the Quality Manager in verifying construction quality from initial work through turnover.

Project Details

Work covers civil, structural, architectural, and MEP installations on mission-critical projects, with quality checks performed in preparation for equipment commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field walkthroughs and inspections, document findings, and maintain inspection and testing records.
• Review shop drawings and submittals, monitor deficiencies, and help verify corrective work.
• Coordinate third-party testing and AHJ inspections, and track punch items and turnover documentation.
• Support preparatory and first-work inspections and share lessons learned with project teams and trade partners.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in architectural, civil, or structural engineering, or construction management.
• At least one year of construction management experience; construction quality-control experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of project software such as Procore, AutoDesk, CxAlloy, Bluebeam, or Smartsheet.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills; must be willing to travel.
