Senior Project Manager

Job Summary

Adolfson & Peterson Construction is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead project delivery alongside the Superintendent, with an initial assignment near Alexandria, Louisiana.

Project Details

The initial assignment is a large data center project. The role may manage projects up to $15 million or designated scopes within larger, complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee project safety, budgets, contracts, schedules, cost controls, and trade contractor and supplier coordination.
• Coordinate with the Superintendent on construction schedules, quality, procurement, and project closeout.
• Manage submittals, RFIs, change orders, contract processes, and project documentation.
• Lead coordination with owners, design teams, subcontractors, and suppliers, including progress meetings.
• Review constructability, project risks, scopes of work, bids, and contract terms.
• Monitor costs, budgets, cash flow, payment applications, and project financial performance.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or a related field and at least 6 years managing construction projects over $5 million; alternatively, an associate’s degree in construction management and at least 8 years of relevant project management experience.
• Experience with scheduling, spreadsheets, cost control, and project management software. Prolog, Microsoft Project, P6, Procore, and Bluebeam are listed as pluses.
• Understanding of value engineering, life-cycle costing, project cost processes, construction quality, and multiple contract types under CMR and Design-Build delivery methods.
• Current OSHA 30 certification or ability to obtain it, along with compliance with company safety requirements.
• Ability to travel and work in varied, sometimes extreme, climate conditions.
