Senior Project Manager

Job Summary

The Christman Company is hiring a Senior Project Manager to lead large commercial construction projects in the Chattanooga area and build strong project teams.

Project Details

The role supports commercial projects in Chattanooga, with preferred experience on projects valued at $10 million or more across commercial, education, healthcare, mixed-use, historic preservation, and industrial markets.

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams and coordinate with owners, architects, subcontractors, vendors, and consultants.
• Manage project scope, staffing, schedules, budgets, risk, change management, and client communications.
• Oversee bid packages, bid reviews, subcontract agreements, work scopes, and trade contractor relations.
• Coordinate project planning, estimating, scheduling, value engineering, reporting, and project documentation.
• Set project goals for safety, schedule, accounting, labor relations, and reporting, and maintain client relationships through the warranty period.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• At least 10 years of commercial construction leadership experience, including five years as a Project Manager or in a comparable leadership role on multiple large, complex projects.
• Training or coursework in Construction Management, Project Management, Safety, or Communication.
• Strong capabilities in construction scheduling, cost control, team leadership, communication, and problem-solving.
