Senior Project Manager

Job Summary

The Christman Company seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead large construction projects in the Oklahoma City and Newcastle area, with responsibility for project teams, client relationships, and successful delivery.

Project Details

The role may involve projects valued at $10 million or more across commercial, education, healthcare, mixed-use, historic preservation, and industrial markets.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor project teams while coordinating with owners, architects, subcontractors, vendors, and consultants.
• Manage project scope, staffing, schedules, budgets, risks, change management, and project documentation.
• Oversee bid packages, the construction manager bidding process, subcontract agreements, and trade contractor relationships.
• Set project goals for safety, labor relations, quality, reporting, and schedule performance.
• Coordinate project planning services, including estimating, scheduling, value engineering, and reporting.
• Maintain client relationships and keep project stakeholders informed of status and current needs.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• At least 10 years of commercial construction leadership experience, including five years as a Project Manager or in a role leading multiple large, complex projects.
• Training or coursework in construction management, project management, safety, or communication.
• Strong capabilities in construction scheduling, cost control, team leadership, communication, problem-solving, and relationship building.
