Senior Superintendent I

Job Summary

Mortenson is seeking a Senior Superintendent I to oversee field operations and work teams across multiple projects or large, complex construction work.

Responsibilities

• Direct site construction activities, assign work, and supervise crews across project operations.
• Coordinate materials, equipment, inspections, labor, and other resources with project teams to support schedule and budget goals.
• Review construction documents, resolve plan discrepancies with engineers, and maintain project schedules and short-term lookaheads.
• Plan site utilization and crew sizes, select formwork and equipment, and lead preconstruction planning and site meetings.
• Coach and develop field staff, support hiring and performance decisions, and promote teamwork and crew readiness.
• Implement the project safety program, manage labor relations, and maintain productive relationships with site stakeholders.

Required Experience

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in a relevant construction or engineering discipline, or 10 years of trade experience.
• At least 15 years of construction experience and 10 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience with solar or oversight of large industrial power projects, including the ability to manage multiple complex projects.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, understanding of construction law and business practices, a current driver's license, and ability to travel up to 100%.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary range is $144,300-$216,500, with higher ranges for certain office locations. The position is eligible for an incentive plan.
