Senior Superintendent I - Structured Cabling-Commercial GC

Job Summary

Mortenson is hiring a Senior Superintendent to direct field operations and supervise teams across large or complex construction projects. The role requires full-time travel, with regular home rotations.

Responsibilities

• Lead construction activities, assign work, and oversee crews.
• Coordinate materials, equipment, inspections, budgets, labor, and project schedules.
• Review plans for constructability, coordinate discrepancies with engineers, and maintain look-ahead schedules.
• Plan site use, crew sizes, equipment, and preconstruction meetings.
• Coach and develop field staff, support hiring and performance decisions, and promote teamwork.
• Implement the site safety program and manage site logistics and stakeholder relationships.

Required Experience

• General contractor experience is required; subcontractor-only management experience is not a fit.
• At least 15 years of construction experience and 10 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience leading and developing superintendents and working directly with craft teams.
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in construction, civil or architectural engineering, or construction management, or 10 years of trade experience.
• Experience with solar or large industrial power projects and complex projects.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, a current driver’s license, and ability to travel up to 100%.

Compensation and Benefits

Base pay is $144,300-$216,500, with higher ranges for specified office locations. The role is eligible for an incentive plan and includes a travel package added to base salary.
