Solar Construction Senior Project Manager I & II

Job Summary

Mortenson is hiring a Senior Project Manager at level I or II to lead solar construction projects, oversee project teams, and maintain strong customer relationships.

Project Details

The role supports Mortenson’s Solar group and may lead one large project or multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee project quality, schedule, safety, compliance, risk, budget, and financial performance.
• Manage project projections, estimates, cost codes, invoices, and owner billings.
• Oversee subcontractors, suppliers, budgets, selections, change orders, and approvals.
• Lead and mentor Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers.
• Serve as the primary contact for the owner and on-site representative.

Required Experience

• Senior Project Manager I: at least 8 years of construction management, project management, or related experience.
• Senior Project Manager II: at least 10 years of construction management or related experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction, civil or architectural engineering, or construction management, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to manage multiple large, complex projects; effective communication and intermediate Microsoft Office, project, and web application skills.
• Current driver’s license and ability to travel up to 100%.

Compensation and Benefits

Base pay is $144,300-$216,500 for level I and $158,900-$238,400 for level II, with adjustments for certain locations. The role is eligible for an incentive plan.
