Superintendent

Job Summary

AP is seeking a Superintendent experienced in sensitive compartmented information facility projects to lead field execution and coordinate closely with the project manager, owner, design team, trade contractors, and suppliers.

Project Details

Projects are generally valued below $75 million, with occasional responsibility for designated components of larger, complex projects. The role is based in Tempe and may involve long-term assignments away from home.

Responsibilities

• Direct on-site construction, safety, quality, productivity, schedules, budgets, and trade coordination.
• Maintain current project drawings and manage tools, equipment, materials, inspections, and jobsite reporting.
• Develop site-specific safety and quality plans, lead safety meetings, and address hazards and incidents.
• Coordinate with the owner and design team, support preconstruction and constructability reviews, and oversee project scheduling and closeout.
• Support future project pursuits, client relationships, and industry engagement.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or a related field with at least 6 years of related experience, or a high school diploma or equivalent with at least 10 years of related experience.
• Proficiency with construction management tools such as Procore, P6, MS Project, Excel, and AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of plans and specifications, value engineering, and life-cycle costing, with a record of supporting safety initiatives.
• Current OSHA 30 certification or ability to obtain it; forklift certification is preferred.
• Ability to travel to project sites, accept long-term out-of-town assignments, and perform physically demanding work in varying climate conditions.

Compensation and Benefits

Estimated pay is $89,600-$172,000. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and life insurance; health savings and flexible spending accounts; 401(k); paid time off and holidays; tuition assistance; and an employee referral bonus.
