Superintendent I and II - Healthcare Construction

Job Summary

Mortenson is hiring Superintendents at levels I and II to coordinate field teams and construction activities, support project delivery, and build strong customer relationships.

Project Details

The role is focused on healthcare construction. Healthcare project experience is preferred, and the position involves complex projects from development through closeout.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate labor, materials, equipment, and inspections to support project schedules.
• Review construction and contract documents, coordinate design plans, and manage schedules and site logistics.
• Lead and develop team members, supervise project partners, and oversee meetings, training, and performance.
• Monitor work progress and task coding while managing safety, quality, risk, and compliance.

Required Experience

• Superintendent I requires at least 5 years of construction management or related experience; Superintendent II requires at least 8 years.
• An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a construction-related discipline, or 10 years of trade experience.
• Current driver’s license, intermediate Microsoft Office skills, and ability to manage multiple complex projects.
• Healthcare project experience is preferred; familiarity with construction law and business practices is required.

Compensation and Benefits

Base pay ranges are $111,400–$167,100 for Superintendent I and $130,100–$195,200 for Superintendent II, with adjustments for certain office locations. The role is eligible for an incentive plan.
