Superintendent I or II - Structured Cabling - Commercial GC

Job Summary

Mortenson is hiring a Superintendent I or II to direct field coordination, planning, and construction operations while building strong customer relationships. The position requires full-time travel and offers a regular home rotation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate materials, equipment, inspections, schedules, and site logistics.
• Review construction and contract documents for completeness and constructability, coordinating plans with design engineers.
• Manage project schedules, work progress, and site activities in collaboration with project partners.
• Supervise, coach, and develop team members and other superintendents.
• Oversee safety, quality, risk, and compliance, and address site conditions and process improvements.

Required Experience

• General contractor and self-perform experience; managing subcontractors alone is not sufficient.
• Superintendent I: at least 5 years of construction management or related experience. Superintendent II: at least 8 years.
• Associate's or bachelor's degree in a relevant construction or engineering discipline, or 10 years of trade experience.
• Current driver's license; ability to travel up to 100%.
• Ability to manage complex projects from development through closeout, organize multiple tasks, and use Microsoft Office at an intermediate level.
• Commercial and industrial experience is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary is $111,400-$167,100 for Superintendent I and $130,100-$195,200 for Superintendent II, with location-based adjustments in certain markets. The role is eligible for an incentive plan and includes a travel package added to base salary.
