Superintendent (Structural Concrete)

Job Summary

Lead field operations for structural concrete work on large commercial, industrial, and civil construction projects, directing self-perform crews and coordinating with project teams.

Project Details

Work may include foundations, footings, drilled piers, walls, structural slabs, elevated decks, reinforcing steel, formwork, shoring, and large concrete placements across commercial, industrial, transportation, and heavy civil projects.

Responsibilities

• Supervise foremen and field crews while overseeing safe, efficient structural concrete construction.
• Plan logistics and sequencing with the Project Manager; coordinate concrete placements, formwork, reinforcing steel, pumps, deliveries, subcontractors, and self-perform work.
• Monitor quality through layout, inspections, embeds, pours, finishing, and curing.
• Coordinate with owners, inspectors, vendors, subcontractors, engineers, and project stakeholders to resolve field issues and support schedule and productivity goals.
• Promote site safety and OSHA compliance, and assist Project Engineers with drawings, submittals, RFIs, and field coordination.

Required Experience

• Five or more years of superintendent experience on large commercial, industrial, or civil projects with substantial structural concrete scopes.
• Experience managing self-perform concrete crews and knowledge of concrete construction, formwork, reinforcing steel, placement, finishing, and curing.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, schedules, and contract documents; Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word proficiency.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Selection assessment and pre-employment drug screening required.
