Assistant Project Manager - Structured Cabling

Job Summary

Mortenson is hiring an Assistant Project Manager to support structured cabling projects from estimating through client acceptance and help lead project team members.

Responsibilities

• Support cost control, estimates, schedules, scopes, pay applications, change requests, and project financial records.
• Prepare client proposals, administer contracts, award subcontracts, and coordinate subcontractors and suppliers.
• Coach and guide project engineers and field engineers, assign work, and support career development.
• Lead project buyout and coordination meetings, and support safe, timely completion and quality planning.
• Handle Project Manager duties on small-scope work as needed.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction, civil or architectural engineering, or construction management, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of related experience and ability to support complex projects.
• Working knowledge of construction law and business practices, plus intermediate Microsoft Office, project, and web application skills.
• Current driver’s license and ability to travel 100%.

Compensation and Benefits

Base compensation is $102,000–$137,700, with higher ranges for specified office locations. Benefits for eligible employees include medical, prescription, vision and dental coverage, a 401(k) with employer match, paid time off, insurance, tuition reimbursement, adoption assistance, and other work-life resources.
