Assistant Superintendent

Job Summary

Support field leadership on data center construction projects near Alexandria, Louisiana, working with the Superintendent and Project Manager to coordinate safe, productive project delivery.

Project Details

Data center projects generally involve scopes under $5 million or a defined component of a larger, complex project.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate site activities, trade contractors, suppliers, schedules, materials, budgets, and quality.
• Maintain current project drawings, support project start-up and close-out, and resolve field issues.
• Help develop and enforce site-specific safety and quality plans, conduct safety meetings, and address hazards.
• Support preconstruction planning, constructability reviews, estimates, scheduling, procurement, and punch-list processes.
• Build effective relationships with owners, designers, trade partners, and prospective clients.

Required Experience

• Construction-related degree with at least 2 years of related experience, or high school diploma/equivalent with at least 7 years of directly related experience.
• Familiarity with construction software such as Procore, MS Project, P6, Excel, AutoCAD, or Revit.
• Knowledge of construction plans, specifications, value engineering, and life-cycle costing.
• Current OSHA 30 certification or ability to obtain it; forklift certification preferred.
• Ability to travel, accept long-term assignments away from home, and meet the physical demands of the role.

Compensation and Benefits

Estimated pay is $78,000-$124,000. Travelers receive per diem, trips, and additional incentives. Benefits include medical, dental, vision and life insurance, HSA, 401(k), flexible spending accounts, paid time off, holidays, tuition assistance, and an employee referral bonus.
