Assistant Superintendent - Solar Install

Job Summary

Mortenson is hiring an Assistant Superintendent to coordinate and supervise subcontractors and craft workers on construction projects. The role is based on projects nationwide and requires full-time travel.

Project Details

The position supports utility-scale solar work, with familiarity with piles, racking, and modules preferred. Project assignments may be anywhere in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate project labor, equipment, schedules, and scopes of work.
• Track labor reports, review timecards, and oversee craft worker training and performance.
• Support project schedule development, procurement takeoffs, material management, and project closeout.
• Coordinate daily work planning, quality control, and site safety activities with project and safety teams.

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in construction, engineering, or construction management, or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of construction management or related experience.
• Current driver's license and ability to travel up to 100%.
• Utility-scale solar knowledge and electrician program experience are preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, project tools, and relevant web applications.

Compensation and Benefits

Base pay is $95,700-$129,200, with higher ranges for certain listed office locations. The role is eligible for an incentive plan. Benefits include medical, prescription, vision, dental, retirement matching, paid leave, insurance, tuition reimbursement, adoption assistance, and a gym discount.
