Energy Storage-Assistant Project Manager

Job Summary

Mortenson is hiring an Assistant Project Manager for its Energy Storage Group. The role supports projects from estimating through client acceptance and includes leadership and mentoring of project team members.

Project Details

Energy storage project assignments are based in Arizona, Texas, California, Colorado, and New Mexico. This is a traveling role with a 100% rotation schedule.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate estimates, schedules, scopes, pay applications, change requests, and other financial records.
• Support proposals, contract administration, subcontract awards, project buyout, and trade partner coordination.
• Guide project engineers and field engineers, assign work, and support team development.
• Oversee subcontractor budgets and facilitate coordination meetings.
• Manage smaller projects as needed and implement quality plans aligned with customer requirements.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction, civil or architectural engineering, or construction management, or equivalent experience.
• At least six years of related experience and demonstrated ability to support complex projects.
• Working knowledge of construction law and accepted business practices; intermediate Microsoft Office, project, and web application skills.
• Current driver’s license.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary range is $102,000-$137,700, with location-based increases applying to some office locations.
