MEP Project Field Engineer

Job Summary

Adolfson & Peterson Construction is hiring an MEP Project Field Engineer to support project managers and superintendents on a large data center project near Alexandria, Louisiana. The engineer will help resolve field issues and coordinate project information with trade partners and client representatives.

Responsibilities

• Interpret plans, details, and specifications; review shop drawings and support subcontractor agreements.
• Track field orders, change orders, materials, project metrics, costs, budgets, and schedules.
• Support constructability reviews, risk assessments, estimates, bid packages, punch lists, and project meetings.
• Help implement safety and quality programs, monitor compliance, and communicate progress to project stakeholders.

Required Experience

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or a related field, or relevant construction experience.
• Ability to read building plans and specifications and proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Primavera, and Prolog.
• OSHA 10 certification or ability to obtain it, along with company safety requirements.
• Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.

Compensation and Benefits

Estimated annual pay is $64,000–$96,000. Travelers receive per diem, trips, and additional incentives. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and life insurance; HSA and flexible spending accounts; 401(k); paid time off and holidays; tuition assistance; and an employee referral bonus.
