MEP Superintendent

Job Summary

Adolfson & Peterson Construction is seeking a Superintendent to oversee field operations and coordinate the project team, initially on a large data center project near Alexandria, Louisiana.

Project Details

The initial assignment is a larger data center project near Alexandria. The role may also oversee projects generally below $75 million or designated scopes within larger, complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Direct site operations, safety, productivity, schedule, quality, and trade contractor coordination.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, production reporting, materials, equipment, inspections, and closeout activities.
• Develop site-specific safety and quality plans, lead safety meetings, and address hazards and incidents.
• Coordinate with the owner, design team, project manager, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Support preconstruction planning, constructability reviews, estimating, and project scheduling.
• Contribute to client development, proposals, and industry relationships.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field with at least 6 years of directly related experience; alternatively, high school diploma or equivalent with at least 10 years of directly related experience.
• Proficiency with construction management tools such as Procore, P6, MS Project, Excel, AutoCAD, and project management software.
• Knowledge of building plans and specifications, value engineering, and life-cycle costing; demonstrated ability to lead safety initiatives.
• Current OSHA 30 certification or ability to obtain it, along with company safety requirements.
• Ability to travel and accept long-term out-of-town assignments; forklift certification preferred.
