MEP Superintendent - CX

Job Summary

Adolfson & Peterson Construction is seeking an MEP Superintendent focused on commissioning, initially for a large data center project. The superintendent will lead field operations and coordinate with the project manager, owner, design team, trade contractors, and suppliers.

Project Details

The initial assignment is a large data center project. The role may also cover projects generally under $75 million or designated scopes within larger, complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Direct site activities, safety, schedule, productivity, quality, and trade coordination.
• Maintain project drawings and manage schedules, budgets, production tracking, materials, and site reporting.
• Lead safety, coordination, and subcontractor meetings; inspect work and address hazards and quality issues.
• Coordinate inspections, project start-up and close-out, and punch-list procedures.
• Work with the owner and design team to communicate project goals and resolve field challenges.
• Contribute to preconstruction planning, constructability reviews, estimating, and project scheduling.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or a related field plus 6 or more years of related experience; alternatively, high school diploma or equivalent plus 10 or more years of related experience.
• Proficiency with construction management tools such as Procore, P6, MS Project, Excel, and AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of construction plans and specifications, value engineering, and life-cycle costing.
• Demonstrated safety leadership; OSHA 30 and company safety requirements must be current or attainable.
• Must be able to travel to project sites, accept long-term out-of-town assignments, and perform physically demanding work, including occasional lifting up to 100 pounds.
• Forklift certification is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

Estimated pay is $89,600-$172,000. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and life insurance; HSA and flexible spending accounts; 401(k); paid time off and holidays; tuition assistance; and an employee referral bonus.
