Project / Field Engineer

Job Summary

Adolfson & Peterson Construction is hiring a Project / Field Engineer for an initial assignment on a large data center project near Alexandria, Louisiana. The engineer will support project managers and superintendents with field coordination, project tracking, and communication among project partners.

The initial assignment is a large data center project near Alexandria, Louisiana. Travelers receive per diem, trips, and additional incentives.

Responsibilities

• Interpret construction plans and specifications, review shop drawings, and help coordinate subcontractor agreements.
• Track field conditions, materials, requests, change orders, schedules, costs, budgets, and project progress.
• Prepare project reports and support estimates, bid packages, change orders, and punch lists.
• Help implement site safety and quality programs, and coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and the project team.
• Review time sheets and maintain project and trade contractor records.

Required Experience

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or a related field, or relevant construction experience.
• Ability to read and understand construction plans, specifications, and safety requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Primavera, and Prolog.
• Current OSHA 10 certification or ability to obtain it, along with company safety requirements.
• Strong analytical, communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.
