Safety Manager (Demolition)

Job Summary

Veit is hiring a hands-on Demolition Safety Manager to support safe field operations, strengthen injury prevention, and guide employees and project teams on health and safety practices.

Project Details

The role supports demolition-related field operations along with the company’s construction, facility, fleet, and field activities.

Responsibilities

• Identify hazards, conduct safety audits, and coach employees and subcontractors on safe work practices.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, workers’ compensation matters, and property damage; determine causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare site-specific safety programs and health and safety plans, deliver training and orientations, and support regulatory compliance.
• Maintain safety records, reports, and air-monitoring instruments, and help improve company safety policies and performance.

Required Experience

• At least two years of experience in construction, waste, and/or transportation.
• OSHA 30 certification and working knowledge of safety and environmental practices.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and effective written and verbal communication skills.
• A valid driver’s license and satisfactory motor vehicle record; ability to pass a pre-employment drug test.
• Preferred: a bachelor’s degree in a safety or health discipline; OHST, CHST, or CSP; OSHA 500; Confined Space, HAZWOPER, DOT, and MSHA training; and a Class A or B CDL with current medical card.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary of $86,000-$112,500, with medical, dental, and vision coverage, life and disability insurance, retirement plans with matching contributions, paid time off, profit sharing, tuition reimbursement, and an employee assistance program.
