About the role
Job Summary
Mortenson is hiring a Safety Manager I to guide safety practices across power construction projects and multiple project teams. The role may supervise safety staff.
Project Details
Power construction assignments may be located anywhere in the United States. High-voltage experience is a plus but is not required.
Responsibilities
- Lead implementation of the company’s Zero Injury Safety program across project sites.
- Partner with project management teams to develop site-specific electrical safety plans and activities.
- Assess training needs and deliver safety orientations, electrical training, and train-the-trainer sessions.
Required Experience
- Either a four-year degree in health or safety, or a high school diploma together with OSHA 500 and CHST certification from BCSP.
- High-voltage experience is preferred but not required.
