Senior Superintendent

Job Summary

Adolfson & Peterson Construction is seeking a Senior Superintendent to lead complex construction operations, coordinate with project teams, and provide regional field leadership.

Project Details

Assignments may include large, complex projects or multiple concurrent projects totaling more than $50 million. AP serves commercial, multifamily, industrial, healthcare, education, hospitality, municipal, data center, and senior living markets.

Responsibilities

• Direct field operations, site safety, schedule, productivity, quality, and trade contractor coordination.
• Manage project plans, budgets, schedules, procurement, inspections, quality control, and closeout.
• Develop site-specific safety plans, lead safety meetings, and address jobsite hazards.
• Coordinate with owners, design teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal departments.
• Coach and manage superintendents and other team members, and contribute to staffing and development.
• Support preconstruction, constructability reviews, project pursuits, and client relationships.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or a related field plus 8+ years of construction management experience; alternatively, high school diploma or equivalent plus 12+ years of directly related experience.
• At least 2 years of people management experience.
• Proficiency with construction management tools such as Prolog, P6, MS Project, Excel, and AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of plans and specifications, value engineering, and life-cycle costing; demonstrated safety leadership.
• Current OSHA 30 certification or ability to obtain it, along with company safety requirements.
• Ability to travel to project sites and accept long-term out-of-town assignments.
• Forklift certification and a commercial driver’s license preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

Estimated pay is $116,000–$192,000. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and life insurance; HSA and flexible spending accounts; 401(k); paid time off and holidays; tuition assistance; and an employee referral bonus.
