Senior Superintendent

Job Summary

Adolfson & Peterson Construction is seeking a Senior Superintendent to lead field operations and provide regional leadership on complex projects or multiple projects totaling more than $50 million. The role partners with project managers, owners, design teams, and trade contractors to deliver safe, high-quality work.

Project Details

Assignments vary in scale and complexity. AP serves commercial, education, healthcare, hospitality, industrial, multifamily, municipal, data center, and senior living markets.

Responsibilities

• Direct site operations, safety, productivity, quality, schedules, budgets, and trade contractor coordination.
• Develop site-specific safety and quality plans, lead safety meetings, monitor compliance, and address hazards and deficiencies.
• Coordinate with owners, designers, vendors, inspectors, and internal project teams.
• Oversee project scheduling, procurement, cost and production reporting, inspections, punch lists, and closeout.
• Coach and manage superintendents and other team members, and contribute to staffing and development.
• Support preconstruction planning, constructability reviews, estimates, project schedules, and future project pursuits.

Required Experience

• Construction leadership experience: a related bachelor's degree plus 8 or more years of construction management experience, or a high school diploma or equivalent plus 12 or more years of directly related experience.
• At least 2 years of people management experience.
• Proficiency with construction management tools such as Prolog, P6, MS Project, Excel, AutoCAD, and project management software.
• Knowledge of plans and specifications, value engineering, life-cycle costing, and safety compliance.
• Current OSHA 30 certification or ability to obtain it, along with company safety requirements.
• Ability to travel to project sites and accept long-term out-of-town assignments; must meet physical requirements, including occasionally lifting up to 100 pounds.
• Forklift certification and a commercial driver's license preferred; ability to obtain them.

Compensation and Benefits

Estimated pay is $116,000-$192,000. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and life insurance; health savings and flexible spending accounts; 401(k); paid time off and holidays; tuition assistance; and an employee referral bonus.
