Job Summary

Adolfson & Peterson Construction is seeking a Superintendent to direct field operations and coordinate project teams, trade contractors, owners, and design partners. Projects are generally valued below $75 million, with some assignments involving designated portions of larger projects.

Project Details

AP serves commercial, education, healthcare, hospitality, industrial, multifamily, municipal, data center, and senior living markets. Project assignments may require extended travel away from home.

Responsibilities

• Oversee jobsite operations, safety, productivity, schedules, costs, quality, inspections, and trade contractor coordination.
• Maintain project drawings and records, coordinate materials and equipment, and lead toolbox talks and site safety meetings.
• Develop site-specific safety and quality plans, address hazards, and document incidents and corrective actions.
• Work with owners, designers, project managers, and trade contractors to meet project goals and resolve field issues.
• Contribute to preconstruction planning, constructability reviews, estimating, scheduling, procurement, and project closeout.
• Support business development, client relationships, and industry engagement.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or a related field plus at least 6 years of directly related experience; alternatively, a high school diploma or equivalent plus at least 10 years of directly related experience.
• Proficiency with construction management tools such as Procore, P6, MS Project, Excel, AutoCAD, and project management software.
• Knowledge of building plans and specifications, value engineering, and life-cycle costing; demonstrated ability to advance safety initiatives.
• Current OSHA 30 certification or ability to obtain it, along with company safety requirements.
• Forklift certification preferred. Must be able to perform physically demanding work, including occasional lifting or carrying up to 100 pounds and working in varied climate conditions.

Compensation and Benefits

Estimated pay is $87,000-$167,000. Benefits include medical, dental, vision and life insurance, HSA, 401(k), flexible spending accounts, paid time off, holidays, tuition assistance, and an employee referral bonus.
