Job Summary

Lead field operations for a large data center project near Alexandria, Louisiana, coordinating with the project manager, owner, design team, and trade partners.

Project Details

The role supports a data center project near Alexandria. Assigned project scopes are generally under $75 million, though the superintendent may oversee designated portions of larger, complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Direct site construction, safety, schedule, quality, productivity, and coordination of trade contractors and suppliers.
• Manage project drawings, materials, equipment, schedules, budgets, cost codes, production tracking, inspections, and closeout.
• Develop site-specific safety and quality plans, lead safety meetings, address hazards, and monitor compliance.
• Maintain effective working relationships with the owner, design team, subcontractors, and internal departments.
• Contribute to preconstruction planning, constructability reviews, estimating, procurement planning, and future project pursuits.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or a related field with at least six years of relevant experience; alternatively, high school diploma or equivalent with at least ten years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency with construction software such as Procore, P6, MS Project, Excel, AutoCAD, and project management software.
• Knowledge of construction plans and specifications, value engineering, and life-cycle costing, with demonstrated safety leadership.
• Current OSHA 30 certification or ability to obtain it, along with company safety requirements; forklift certification preferred.
• Ability to perform physically demanding site work, occasionally lift up to 100 pounds, and work in varied climate conditions.
