Superintendent

Job Summary

Adolfson & Peterson Construction is seeking a Superintendent to oversee field operations and lead project teams on construction projects generally valued below $75 million, or designated scopes on larger projects.

Project Details

AP serves commercial, education, healthcare, hospitality, industrial, multifamily, municipal, data center, and senior living markets. Projects are generally under $75 million, with occasional responsibility for components of larger, complex work.

Responsibilities

• Direct site activity, safety, scheduling, productivity, quality, and coordination with trade contractors and suppliers.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, procurement, site documentation, inspections, and quality-control plans.
• Develop and implement site-specific safety plans, lead safety meetings, and address hazards and incidents.
• Coordinate with owners, designers, project managers, and preconstruction teams through planning, execution, and closeout.
• Support client development, proposals, and industry engagement.

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or a related field plus 6 or more years of directly related experience; alternatively, high school diploma or equivalent plus 10 or more years of directly related experience.
• Proficiency with construction management tools such as Procore, P6, MS Project, Excel, AutoCAD, and project management software.
• Knowledge of construction plans and specifications, value engineering, and life-cycle costing.
• Current OSHA 30 certification or ability to obtain it, along with company safety requirements.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• Ability to travel to project sites and accept long-term out-of-town assignments.

Compensation and Benefits

Estimated pay is $89,600–$143,000. Benefits include medical, dental, vision and life insurance, HSA, 401(k), flexible spending accounts, paid time off, holidays, tuition assistance, and an employee referral bonus.
