Superintendent - Diving (Marine)

Job Summary

Veit is hiring a Diving Superintendent to lead commercial dive crews and coordinate safe, effective underwater and topside construction operations.

Project Details

Work may include dredging, marine construction, underwater inspection, welding, burning, drilling, and concrete operations.

Responsibilities

• Plan dive operations, develop dive plans, and coordinate crew members, equipment, materials, and other project resources.
• Work with project teams and clients on pre-job planning, schedules, production, costs, and project issues.
• Lead pre-dive meetings, maintain dive records, inspect equipment, and ensure safe, compliant operations.
• Communicate with dive crews, project leadership, and clients; coach and develop dive personnel.
• Oversee field personnel and support daily work quality, productivity, and safety.

Required Experience

• Commercial diving school graduate or equivalent commercial or military dive training.
• Five or more years of commercial diving, marine construction, or related experience preferred.
• Current dive physical or ability to complete the required physical; valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
• O2 Administrator, CPR, and First Aid/AED certifications, or ability to obtain them; must maintain required diving certifications.
• Previous experience leading commercial diving operations is strongly preferred. HCSS, PlanGrid, and PowerBI experience is a plus.
• Must be at least 18 and willing to join the union.

Compensation and Benefits

This is a union position. Hourly pay and benefits vary by location, experience, and applicable collective bargaining agreements. Union craft benefits include a 401(k) and Employee Assistance Program.
